Organic Red Wine Vinegar (250ml) is made by the monks at the historical Monastery Agia Triada in Crete, Greece, which the monks having been making since 1632.

The combination of centuries old trees, fertile lands, healthy climate, the care and dedication the monks have harmoniously utilized gives the Organic Red Wine Vinegar the most amazing aroma and fragrance.

The Monastery of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) or Tzagarolon Monastery, is one of the most impressive monasteries in Crete. It has greatly contributed to the history of the island. The Monastery is located close to Chania on the Akrotiri Peninsula. It was built by the brothers Ieremias and Lavrentios Tsagaroloi (1632). The brothers, who came from a great Venetian-Cretan family, had a powerful influence on the Orthodox population and the Catholic Venetians. The Monastery of Agia Triada is not only very important, but also extremely beautiful. Ever since it was built it has farmed organic olive trees and vineyards producing fine wine and organic extra virgin olive oil. It also produces traditional tsikoudia, pure thyme honey and unique balsamic vinegars scented with thyme honey or fresh orange.
It is renowned for its traditions this unique olive oil is produced. This unique commodity is a combination of centuries old trees, fertile lands and the refreshing, healthy climate. Virtues which, with care and dedication the monks have harmoniously utilized.

Those who are interested in really good olive oil insist on oil from mills using traditional methods, from oil millers whose capacity may be small, but who make up for it with the great ethos of their craft. Some of them even produce under the label of protected and controlled indications of origin – DOP (Denominazione di Origine Protetta) in Italy, AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) in France. The olives used for these oils must originate from the geographical area in question, and the oil must be obtained in a traditional way in the same region, all the while adhering to clearly defined quality standards. The result: oil of the highest quality, a high degree of differentiation, balanced flavours while at the same time low yields leading to smaller quantities. From a variety of exquisite oils, we have selected those whose taste characteristics beautifully reflect their origin.

The grapes are 1st grade, obtained directly from the grape vine exclusively by mechanical means. From controlled organic cultivation.
